Our exciting partnership with both Dundee FC and Dundee FC community Trust will see the Club relocate their daily operations to Gardyne Campus as well as investment into our outdoor sports facilities. We are in the process of upgrading our grass pitch to elite standard as well as creating an all weather full size 4G pitch with floodlights. Our learners across the college will benefit through exposure to a real working environment from sports coaching, analysis and fitness to horticulture, hospitality and more. We will be able to offer the chance for the local community to get involved through our joint community programmes which will be announced soon.
“Our partnership with D & A College has provided our staff and players with access to world class sporting facilities all at the one central venue. The staff and the environment at the college replicates the kind of high performance mindset we aspire to achieve from our athletes. We could not be happier with the long term decision to have the Caledonia region of the FOSROC Scottish Rugby Academy working alongside D & A College”.
Bruce Frame – Regional Manager, Scottish Rugby
“The partnership between Dundee United Girls Academy and Gardyne Sports Centre is a real example of two like-minded clubs coming together with the best interests of the girls’ and women’s game at heart! Gardyne has been a huge asset to the Girls Academy and with the shared understanding and access to more facilities, it has provided us with the chance to continue to grow and develop the club.
“We are still in the early stages as a youth club but that can be easy to forget due to the great successes we have had so far. This is just the beginning for Dundee United Girls Academy and with the College on board, the players are in the best hands!”
Georgia Carter – Development officer, Dundee Utd Community Trust
